The website (hereafter “the website”) is edited and managed by Supporting Democracy. A Citizen Organisation’s Programme, an EIDHR-funded technical assistance programme working with EU Delegations (EUDs) to strengthen the role of civil society in advocating and monitoring democratic accountability. The programme is implemented by a consortium composed of Democracy Reporting International (DRI), the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and SOFRECO SA.

Supporting Democracy is hosted by DigitalOcean, 101 Avenue of the Americas, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10013 (in their London Datacenter).

The publisher of this website is Mr Raphael Pouyé, of Supporting Democracy. A Citizen’s Organisation Programme.

The website also abides to the European Union’s Information Providers Guidelines (, although it is not an official European website.

The website consists of a public contest (“civictech4democracy”) designed to attract civic technology projects from EUD countries (non-OECD countries) and it will be online for the sole duration of the campaign, i.e. 22 May – 15 September 2018), after which it will be taken offline and its data deleted.

Data protection

The personal data collected on the website are only temporarily recorded by the campaign for the sole and explicit purpose of identifying and contacting the contest

applicants. The personal data are hosted in France on the servers of DigitalOcean (see above).
