Developing a digital platform to monitor procurement of pharmaceuticals and lobby policymakers

Transparency International in Kenya (TI-K)

Year when project started:

2016

Year when project ended:

Still ongoing

Project’s main objectives and results:

Unwillingness of procurement officials at county level to share information and engage the public in procurement of pharmaceuticals in public health facilities in Kenya, allows corruption to thrive. In part as a response to this,TI (Kenya) will: 1) Develop a digital platform to monitor procurement of pharmaceuticals in public health facilities; 2) Lobby for adoption and implementation of project proposals by National and County Governments; 3) Sensitise the public.
